Bout of Books Read-a-thon Challenge

Hey guys! I'm ending this awesome read-a-thon with a challenge here and a giveaway over on the the Bout of Books read-a-thon blog. You can gain extra entries for completing this challenge!

So my challenge is going to be a little topsy-turvy. For mine, you are going to need to match the heroine (or hero) of the book you are reading right now with a hero/heroine another novel. You can also choose a main character from another book you read this week if you can't think of one for your current read.

After you've thought of your new pairing, either leave it in the comments or write up a blog post telling me about your pairing, why choose to link them toegether and link up at the bottom!

Example:

Katniss from The Hunger Games and Four from Divergent

I think these two would make an awesome couple because they compliment each other. Four isn't quite as ruthless as Katniss but he does understand the need to do drastic things in the middle of a fight. Katniss is a survivor, much like Tris, and I feel that Four would respect and admire that about her. I'm not sure how many sparks would fly in this pairing but I am sure that they'd challenge each other in all the right ways.

See guys, it's as easy as that (though honestly, it is a bit difficult). I'm looking forward to crazy new and exciting pairings!

Like I said before, I'm also giving away a choice of six awesome books over on the Bout of Books Read-a-thon blog and participating in my challenge will give you extra points! It's international and you could win either a finished copy or pre-order of the following books:

  1. No way. Four and Tris are perfect. You can't put him with Katniss. She is a psychopath! I feel bad for Peter. Hmm. . .maybe I should find someone else for him. Well, maybe next time. I already picked my pair. Cool challenge, thanks.

    Hope, Love, and Happy Endings

    1. I agree that Four and Tris are good for each other. Katniss and Peeta are too but the point of the challenge is to mix and match. Sorry you don't agree with my choices but I like the pairing!

Thanks for participating. I haven't read The Tiger Curse series but I love Calla!

  2. I would pair Jem from Clockwork Prince with Lena from Beautiful Creatures. Jem is the gentle sensitive type and I think Lena would be the perfect "Manic Pixie Dream Girl" for him.

  3. I'd link up Peeta with someone else because I hated how they ended up together in the end.I THINK I'd put Dez from Touch by Jus Accardo and Peeta together because Peeta would like Dez because she's a LOT like Katniss but Dez is nice and not as hardcore as Katniss!

  4. Hello Amber! I haven't read Divergent yet, so I don't know who Four is *shame on me* but they sound like a good couple.

  5. This was a hard one! I'm reading The Historian and I don't even know my heroines name ... I'm close to 200 pages in and I don't think it was mentioned? Anyway, she's a searcher, trying to find information about Dracula and the story of her father. Naturally, she should be paired up with Sherlock Holmes because he kicks butt when it comes time to search for anything. Although, she's 16 and Sherlock is who-knows what age ... but I think their needs fit perfectly!

  8. Oh God, this is a hard one. Especially because I'm a slasher at heart, but I'll try to refrain and respect the characters...

Hmm, what about pairing Ash from the Iron Fey series with Luna Lovegood from the Harry Potter Series? He's so serious and brooding all the time--he could use someone who looks at the world through different eyes. And Luna has the rare quality in that she can simplify the most complicated problems with her unique perspective. Ash might want to throttle her sometimes, but overall, they might make a good run out of it.

  9. Here is my entry - I cannot use anyone from my current book because there really was no hero or heroine so I am going to choice to match on one from the book I read before I this one which is "The Darkest Pleasure" and the hero is reyes and I would match his with the heroine from the book Angelfire "Ellie". I know the books are for different age groups but I can so see both of the kicking butt together.

  10. I would pair Mac from the Moning Fever series with Jace from The Mortal Instraments series. Mac is funny and doesn't like to be pushed around similarly to Clary. She just totally walks into being paranormal. Mac is drawn to the Barrons' strength and cockiness, which Jace has in spades.

  11. Hmm. I'm currently reading The Sweetest Thing by Jill Shalvis. My pairing is Tara (The Sweetest Thing) & Phineas T. Tucker (Welcome to Temptation by Jennifer Crusie). She has a lot of pain in her past and a lot of loosening up to do. He could help her with those things, and I think they would work really well together.

Thinking of writing something below? Well, that's why you are awesome! I always love feedback!

This blog is an award free zone. With the demand of a full time job, blogging time is becoming much more precious and I just don't have the time to meet the demands of awards. Thanks so much for thinking of me anyway!
