Book Blogger Hop (7): October 1-4

The book blog hop is hosted by Jennifer over at Crazy For Books. The idea behind it is to link up your blog and check out others who did the same!

I want to welcome everyone stopping by from the Hop!

I'm a 23-year-old aspiring YA novelist and on my blog it's all about YA novels, writing and movies! I'm really excited to be meeting everyone! Feel free to have a look around my blog!

This week's question:

How do you spread the word about your blog?

For the longest time, I wondered this same thing. Then I stumbled across the Book Blog Hop and met so many cool people. I also try to review a lot of book, get author interviews and hold contests to make my blog more attractive. I don't use a lot of social networking sites but I swear by Goodreads and I love Shelfari. As for my Facebook account, it's for private uses.

  • Make sure to check out my 100 Followers Contest to snag a SIGNED copy of City of Glass by Cassandra Clare and more!
  • Help me out and take a peek at my Query Letter. I could really use some constructive criticism!

I so love the theme. I can just picture Tim Burton in here somewhere!

  3. First of all, awesome query letter/book concept. But I already commented over there. :]

Also, aside from the giveaways and author interviews, I promote in the same way. Haha.

    Have a fabulous weekend, Amber!

  4. Hopping through. Your query letter sounds great - a very interesting plot.
Writer's advice question - how do you get past the suckage? I write a few pages, which when I think logically are pretty decent, but every time I look at it, I just assume it's awful and want to bang my head against the wall and give up.

  7. Happy HOP!! When I first started my blog was pretty much a ghost town but I stumbled across the HOP and from there I started taking part in other weekly memes. This is pretty much how I meet new people and invited them to visit. When I remember I tweet my posts and reviews as well. Hope you have a great weekend planned :)

Come HOP by my blog and visit

  9. Now see, how do you go about getting author interviews? Do you contact authors directly? Take interviews from other sites? I'm a bit intimidated by this!!!!

Check out my Blog Hop, Follow Friday and Giveaway!

  10. I always love coming by your site -- this whimsical design always makes me smile and feel a little bit gleeful! :) Not to mention, I do so love your reviews!

I'm a big fan of the author interview and reading on sites -- I just managed to conduct a couple and it was so much fun (not to mention an honor!).

  15. Just hoppin' on by! <3 Thank you for stopping by my blog and following; I'm a new follower as well. <3

I pretty much insanely shy when it comes to networking. I feel like my attempts are so transparent that everyone will know just what they are: sad, sad attempts.

I would have loved to blog through August, as you did, but I've never been to Texas so I was always out and about! I didn't even READ for a month. Besides restaurant menus, haha!

    Have a great weekend <333

  18. Hi! Just hopping by. :) I agree Goodreads is very helpful as well as the hop. :) There's nothing like reaching out to fellow bloggers and letting them know about your blog. And of course the content counts. ;)

    Have a nice weekend!

Thinking of writing something below? Well, that's why you are awesome! I always love feedback!

This blog is an award free zone. With the demand of a full time job, blogging time is becoming much more precious and I just don't have the time to meet the demands of awards. Thanks so much for thinking of me anyway!
