As Dead As It Gets (Bad Girls Don't Die #3) by Katie Alender

It's been three months since Alexis helplessly witnessed Lydia Small's violent death, and all she wants is for her life to return to normal.

But normal people don’t see decaying bodies haunting photographs. Normal people don’t have to deal with regular intrusions from Lydia’s angry ghost, sometimes escalating to terrifying attacks.
At first, it seems that Lydia wants revenge on Alexis alone. But a girl from school disappears one night, and Alexis spots one of Lydia’s signature yellow roses lying on the girl’s dresser the next day. Soon, it becomes clear that several of Alexis’s friends are in danger, and that she's the only person who can save them. But as she tries to intervene, Alexis realizes that her enemy is a much more powerful ghost than she's ever faced before... and that its fate is tied to hers in ways she couldn't possibly imagine.
Not even in her worst nightmares.
I'm in love with this series and can't wait to read what happens to Alexis and Kasey. I've been a huge fan of this series since I finally made my wimpy butt get over the cover of the first novel. I can't wait for more scare-the-pants-off-you fun!

As Dead As It Gets comes out May 15, 2012 from Hyperion.

Underworld (Abandon #2) by Meg Cabot
Escape from the realm of the dead is impossible when someone there wants you back.
Seventeen-year-old Pierce Oliviera isn’t dead.
Not this time.
But she is being held against her will in the dim, twilit world between heaven and hell, where the spirits of the deceased wait before embarking upon their final journey.
Her captor, John Hayden, claims it’s for her own safety. Because not all the departed are dear. Some are so unhappy with where they ended up after leaving the Underworld, they’ve come back as Furies, intent on vengeance…on the one who sent them there and on the one whom he loves.
But while Pierce might be safe from the Furies in the Underworld, far worse dangers could be lurking for her there…and they might have more to do with its ruler than with his enemies.
And unless Pierce is careful, this time there’ll be no escape.
I really did enjoy all the trouble Pierce got into in the first novel. Cabot's writing was addictive and I loved the retelling of Persephone. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Pierce gets herself out of the mess she ended up in during Abandon. If that doesn't have you hooked, maybe the full cover will:
Underworld is out May 2012 from Scholastic Inc.

Touched by Cyn Balog
Nick Cross always listens to the voice in his head. Because if he doesn’t? Things can go really, really wrong. Like the day he decided to go off script to save a life, dooming another one in the process. Trying to change the future can have disastrous consequences..
But this summer at the Jersey Shore, something’s about to happen that Nick never could have predicted. He meets Taryn, a girl with a dark family secret that may be the key to understanding his past. But will she also destroy his future? . Now the path that he thought he was on begins to shift . . . and there’s no way to stop it. Or is there?
In a life where there are no surprises, nothing has prepared Nick for what he’s about to discover—or the choice he will be forced to make...
After reading Sleepless, I know Ms. Balog can pack a punch in a short amount of time. I can't wait to read what she's going to do this time. Plus, isn't that cover amazing?
Touched is out August 14, 2012 from Delacorte Press.
 Fated by Sarah Alderson
What happens when you discover you aren't who you thought you were? And that the person you love is the person who will betray you? If your fate is already determined, can you fight it?
When Evie Tremain discovers that she’s the last in a long line of Demon slayers and that she’s being hunted by an elite band of assassins –Shapeshifters, Vampires and Mixen demons amongst them – she knows she can’t run. They’ll find her wherever she goes. Instead she must learn to stand and fight.
But when the half-human, half-Shadow Warrior Lucas Gray - is sent to spy on Evie and then ordered to kill her before she can fulfil a dangerous prophecy, their fates become inextricably linked. The war that has raged for one thousand years between humans and demons is about to reach a devastating and inevitable conclusion. Either one or both of them will die before this war ends.
If your life becomes bound to another’s, what will it take to sever it?
I've always been interested in fate vs free will. This novel looks like it's going to play with that. I'm not sure about the cover. I think there is a person in her pretty blue eyes but it's too hard to see. Story sounds amazing though!

Fated is out January 5,2012 from Simon & Schuster.

Thinking of writing something below? Well, that's why you are awesome! I always love feedback!

This blog is an award free zone. With the demand of a full time job, blogging time is becoming much more precious and I just don't have the time to meet the demands of awards. Thanks so much for thinking of me anyway!
