Happily Ever Endings... Supernaturally by Kiersten White

Happily Ever Endings... was born out of sheer frustration. You know how when you read a series and you love it but the last book takes a little while to come out and then you sort of forget parts of the novel? That's what these posts are going to serve to remedy. Happily Ever Ending... is a short post about what happened at the ending of each book that is going to be in a series for people who need a quick reminder of what happened in the previous installment. I hope this saves someone else the frustration that I went through!

Supernaturally (Paranormalcy #2) by Kiersten White

A lot has changed in the six months since Evie escaped from the International Paranormal Containment Agency with her shape-shifter boyfriend, Lend. She finally has the blissfully normal life she’s always dreamed of, including:

1) A real live high school
2) A perfectly ordinary after-school job
3) Her very own locker (and by the way, rusted metal is every bit as awesome as she imagined)
But Evie’s not-so-normal past keeps creeping up on her...and things get pretty complicated when you factor in:
1) A centuries-old, seriously decaying vampire stalker
2) A crazy faerie ex-boyfriend who is the perpetual bearer of really bad news
3) A major battle brewing between the faerie courts where the prize in question happens to be...Evie herself.
So much for normal.

Evie's trying to figure out who she is and where she fits in the world. Seeing everyone with homes in the human world is starting to bother her. She's unsure where her real home is and it leaves her feeling empty. After accepting a part time position from IPCA on the condition that she does not have to be transported by fairies, she chooses to keep it a secret from Lend. Lend finds out and his one condition is that Evie can't lie to him anymore. She agrees but continues to keep the secret that Lend is immortal.

A vamp that attacked her on a mission to Sweden is set loose on Halloween in a woods near her house. She really wants to drain the rest of him and tries to rest until he jumps her and she is forced to. Jack stands by and watches wide eyed. Lend comes to her resue right after she is bitten (but she isn't in danger of being turned). Raquel says it won't happen again but Evie is having trouble believing her since she has been attacked by several other paranormals.
Evie is banking on a normal future at Georgetown with Lend but when she receives a rejection letter for admination, she sees her entire furture crubling in front of her. In an effort to outrun it, she goes into the Faerie Realms with Jack where she wrecks some havoc until Reth finds her. There he is finally willing to answer her. He takes her to meet her father-- a drunk fairy addicted to Nascar racing-- and finds out that she is the product of a Faerie and human mating. Her mother's whereabouts are unknown. She also finds out that she is less than human.
Her life fully a wreck, she confronts Lend and tells him he is immortal and ends their relationship to avoid the hurt of being left behind. She goes with Jack into the Faerie Paths where he tries to convince her to open a gate to send the Faeries to Hell. She realizes that in doing that, she will become the thing that she depises most-- she doesn't believe it far to judge paranormals for being what they are. When she refuses, Jack reveals he was the one who sent those other paranormals after her so she could suck their souls and open the gate. He then leaves her alone in the Faerie Paths. Through sheer determination, Evie finds her way back home and mends things with Lend. They both promise, no more secrets and Evie realizes she has found her home and place with Lend and all the others who love her.
Did I miss anything important from the ending? Let me know in the comments! I hope this helped you remember everything for the next novel!

  2. Thank you so much for this post! I am currently reading endlessly and have been getting occasionally confused since the last time I read supernaturally was when it came out a year ago. This post helped so much!

Thinking of writing something below? Well, that's why you are awesome! I always love feedback!

This blog is an award free zone. With the demand of a full time job, blogging time is becoming much more precious and I just don't have the time to meet the demands of awards. Thanks so much for thinking of me anyway!
