TEAser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along, just do as following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
- Be careful not to include any spoilers so as not to ruin the book for others!
Make sure to share the title and the author so other TT participants can add the book to their TBR piles!
Wherever You Go by Heather Davis
For hours, you both lay across the hood of the Audi, staring up at the endless night sky. And you realize he's just as lonely as you are.
--Pg. 33 of "Wherever You Go" by Heather Davis
So far, this has been a really good book. I just need to sit down and spend some time with it. What's interesting is that each perspective is told in a different person. Holly's is first, Rob's is second and Jason's is third. It's strange but really fascinating. Can't wait to figure out what happens!
What's your teaser?
Top Ten Tuesday is a 10's list meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. There is a different question every week and all you have to do is answer their question with your top ten results!
Top Ten Books That Have Been Sitting on My Shelf the LongestI won't give too much explanation. Sufficient to say that I purchased all of these and wanted to read them. The problem is time and never having enough of it!
1) The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan
2) Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer
3) Beauty and the Bully by Andy Behrens
4) Chime by Franny Billingsley
5) Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
6) Wish You Were Dead by Todd Strasser
7) Dead Beautiful by Yvonne Woon
8) The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey
9) Unearthly by Cynthia Hand
10) Mad Love by Suzanne Selfors
Again, all these titles have been sitting on my shelf for far too long because I just haven't had the time to get to them. I'm still excited about them all (and so many more), I just need to find the time!
Show me the books that have been sitting on your shelf the longest!
Unearthly's got a super cute romance! Would definitely recommend that one from this list. I started Chime but it had to be returned to the library before I finished it. Lots of bloggers have rated it highly though so I should probably try again!
ReplyDeletefun list, enjoy your reading :) kaye—the road goes ever ever on
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser! I love Audis. And you've got some good books on your list. Definitely recommend Unearthly and Beautiful Creatures. Loved them both.
ReplyDeleteThanks for you comment on my Catching Fire teaser. I feel like most people are Team Peeta, but as I said in my review of The Hunger Games, I'm not yet prepared to declare a team ;).
Oh wow. I've never read a book that did different tenses for different POV's. Could be interesting.
