The Hunger Games Josh Hutcherson Haters: To Ease Your Suffering

You're welcome.

Well, really you can thank Down With The Capital for putting in the hard work to make him look the part.

And he does now. Looks good as a blonde too!

  1. Love this! I was already a fan of Josh for Peeta, but this just helps to seal the deal. Thanks for sharing. :)

  2. My problem with him has never been about the looks. I'm aware of how easily superficial things can be changed, that's why I've been so accepting of Jennifer Lawrence. But I've seen him in everything that he's done and I'm not just a fan at all. And if I'm not a fan, I'm not going to be ecstatic about the fact that he's going to be portraying my favorite character, you know?

For most of us, he's just not Peeta. He doesn't fit it for us. Maybe we'll change our minds once we actually see the movie? Who knows. But for now, we'll probably all be upset until the movie is released.

  3. Hahhaa, yess I think he could be a great Peeta. People are way too preoccupied with the look and they don't even consider the acting at all. Seriously would you prefer someone who looks exactly as Peeta in the book but act as good as fish out of the water or would you prefer someone who's a bit different but can act? Looks can be changed, this is Hollywood we're talking, people!

  4. I just don't get why some people decide to completely disregard or hate on an actor/actress just because he/she may not naturally have the same hair and/or other physical trait as a character. I could care less whether or not the actor/actress has a resemblance to the character. I'm more concerned with his/her acting ability and whether or not he/she will be able to effectively personify the personality & mannerisms of the character.

  6. People are freaaaaking out about this casting way too much. Don't they think the director/casting director/etc put a lot of thought into it? They KNOW this is a HUGE movie with a HUGE fanbase already coming in... do people think that they would ignore this and cast someone who couldn't do the characters justice? Ugh, it's seriously getting to me... people are way too hyped up about it.

I saw the manip yesterday, and while it looks really fake to me, I think it does prove the point that you can easily change someone's hair colour. Who cares about that? It's just looks. What matters is them as an actor... and even as a person, I suppose. I watched an interview of Josh's yesterday because I had never seen him in anything, and even as a person he has this total energy that's completely right for Peeta.

  7. Personally, he was my favorite out of the list of possibilities that had been circulating the web. I like him MUCH better than the other options and I can totally see him playing Peeta. I'm going to be *SQUEE*ing all day when this movie finally hits theaters! :D I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS MOVIEEEE!!!

  8. I agree 110% with Katie. Definitely not a fan of his acting, so unfortunately, I'm still not happy. But for the people who disliked Josh as Peeta mostly because of looks, this picture will probably help.

  10. Great choice! Awesome picture. I think it's funny that people are getting upset. We all have in our minds who could portray our favorite characters, but it comes down to the casting director, the director, the producer. And if Suzanne Collins who's writing the script is okay with it...then we should be too! It's Hollywood people! It's also comes down to acting chops. I think Josh is a great actor. People need to stop freaking out. Do these haters think that makes him feel confident? He obviously wanted the role and good for him! Look at how many people wanted the role of Scarlett O'Hara. But it came down to Vivian Leigh. She was perfect for the part. And will always be Scarlett. I saw on Twitter the other day someone posted that Josh getting the part was a tragedy. A tragedy! How horrible to say that. I pictured Peeta a certain way. He didn't look Josh in mind. But I'm okay with him in the role. I for one am not a big fan of other people who were on the list. We need to let go...it's only a movie...not life and death. LOL

  11. Wow, that is fab! I have to say though, I'm not a fan of his ACTING. But, who knows. Maybe he'll turn into the face for Peeta how Kristen Stewart is for Bella. I've watched most of Kristen's movies and her acting is the same in each one.. the hand through the hair, the looking away, the pffffting noise, the stuttering and pausing like everything is a huge build up.

So hopefully this guy can put something new into his acting for Peeta. He's not my favorite looks wise, but I'll give him a shot.

Thinking of writing something below? Well, that's why you are awesome! I always love feedback!

This blog is an award free zone. With the demand of a full time job, blogging time is becoming much more precious and I just don't have the time to meet the demands of awards. Thanks so much for thinking of me anyway!
