The Time Will Come (2): Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

The Time Will Come is a weekly meme started by Books for Company which spotlights books that have been sitting unread on our shelves for too long.*
From Goodreads:

Lena Duchannes is unlike anyone the small Southern town of Gatlin has ever seen, and she's struggling to conceal her power, and a curse that has haunted her family for generations. But even within the overgrown gardens, murky swamps and crumbling graveyards of the forgotten South, a secret cannot stay hidden forever.
Ethan Wate, who has been counting the months until he can escape from Gatlin, is haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he has never met. When Lena moves into the town's oldest and most infamous plantation, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her and determined to uncover the connection between them.
In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.

Why the time hasn't come:

I'm convinced I might be the only in the world that hasn't read this book. It's been sitting on my shelf for almost two years because of it's size. When I take a quick break from the stuff I've requested or have been sent, I usually select a small book so this one keeps getting pushed back. It's a shame too because so many people love it, including my friend who JUST started reading YA (at my suggestion). She's read most of my library PLUS my TBR pile. Like a sponge that one. Anyways, I hear this is spectacular and fully plan on getting to it soon.

  4. Haven't read it either - you're not alone :) Actually, I've never even picked it up in a shop before (despite seeing it every time I go into a book shop) for some reason. I might give it go next time, though.

Thanks for the mention (: (:

  5. I'm actually reading this one right now! I had it for more than half a year before finally getting round to it. It's actually rather good, and I am finding it quite refreshing because of the MALE lead character. You don't get them very often...

Hope you take the plunge and read it soon! :)

Thinking of writing something below? Well, that's why you are awesome! I always love feedback!

This blog is an award free zone. With the demand of a full time job, blogging time is becoming much more precious and I just don't have the time to meet the demands of awards. Thanks so much for thinking of me anyway!
