Waiting on Wednesday (24): Forgotten by Cat Patrick

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine where you can post about upcoming books you're looking forward to.

This is a wonderful chance for blogger to show off what's coming out soon that they are excited about! Every week my wishlist balloons thanks to this awesome meme.

Forgotten by Cat Patrick

Each night when 16 year-old London Lane goes to sleep, her whole world disappears. In the morning, all that's left is a note telling her about a day she can't remember. The whole scenario doesn't exactly make high school or dating that hot guy whose name she can't seem to recall any easier. But when London starts experiencing disturbing visions she can't make sense of, she realizes it's time to learn a little more about the past she keeps forgetting-before it destroys her future.

Part psychological drama, part romance, and part mystery, this thought-provoking novel will inspire readers to consider the what-if's in their own lives and recognize the power they have to control their destinies.

I realize how ridiculous this is going to sound but this novel bring to light one of my biggest fears. When I was young, I'd always worry about going to sleep because I was afraid that when I went to sleep now, I'd actually be waking up in my real life and my real life was a dream. Of course, at twelve I couldn't explain that very well. This is such a fascinating concept for a novel and I'm so excited to get my hands on it I preorder it last night when I was on an Amazon preorder rampage.

Forgotten is due out June 14th so it's an early birthday present to myself!

What are you waiting for this week?

  1. Ah, the greatest pull of a story like this one is how much of our own fears are triggered...sounds fascinating.

  2. This sounds amazing. It makes me think of that movie 50 First Dates...but obviously much more intense, which is great. :-)

Thinking of writing something below? Well, that's why you are awesome! I always love feedback!

This blog is an award free zone. With the demand of a full time job, blogging time is becoming much more precious and I just don't have the time to meet the demands of awards. Thanks so much for thinking of me anyway!
