I'm always a fan of re-tellings so I can't wait for a dark one about Snow White. This sounds great and that cover is beyond beautiful!
Shadowlands by Kate Brian
Rory Miller had one chance to fight back and she took it. Rory survived… and the serial killer who attacked her escaped. Now that the infamous Steven Nell is on the loose, Rory must enter the witness protection with her father and sister, Darcy, leaving their friends and family without so much as a goodbye.Shadowlands is out January 8th 2013 by Hyperion Books for Children.
Starting over in a new town with only each other is unimaginable for Rory and Darcy. They were inseparable as children, but now they can barely stand each other. As the sisters settle in to Juniper Landing, a picturesque vacation island, it seems like their new home may be just the fresh start they need. They fall in with a group of beautiful, carefree teens and spend their days surfing, partying on the beach, and hiking into endless sunsets. But just as they’re starting to feel safe again, one of their new friends goes missing. Is it a coincidence? Or is the nightmare beginning all over again?
How creepy but awesome does this look? I'm obsessed with this idea and can't wait to read this one...with the lights on, of course.

DeleteI haven't heard of NAMELESS or MY NAME IS RAPUNZEL, but b/c of you, I want them both now. THANK YOU!!!
ReplyDeleteMy Name is Rapunzel looks awesome. I mean, that may just be because it's about Rapunzel, but I DON'T CARE. I adore fairy tales, although I think you may win on the battle of who loves them more. Haha.
ReplyDeleteMy WoW.
I'm a huge fairy tale fan. I can't help myself. I was born and raised on Disney and it's stayed with me though as I got older, I got more into the roots of the fairy tales which are much darker (as I'm sure you know). Glad you are looking forward to it too!
DeleteGreat picks! Shadowlands is on my wishlist, and Nameless looks fantastic. Plus I just love the title (reminds me of Loveless [an anime])
ReplyDeleteI had no idea about Nameless until a few weeks ago when it just popped up with an awesome summary and a cover to die for.
DeleteSecond Shadowlands I've seen today. It really looks good.
ReplyDeleteHere's my version of WoW
