Waiting on Wednesday: Namless, Shadowlands and My Name is Rapunzel

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine where you can post about upcoming books you're looking forward to. This is a wonderful chance for blogger to show off what's coming out soon that they are excited about! Every week my wishlist balloons thanks to this awesome meme.

Nameless by Lili St. Crow
A dark and eerie retelling of Snow White from Lili St. Crow,
New York Times bestselling author of the Strange Angels
series.
Sixteen-year-old Camille doesn’t remember her life before she was adopted by the powerful Vultusino family—the missing childhood years that left her scarred and silent. Now she lives a life of luxury, protected by the supernatural Mafia Vultusinos, specially Nico, her adopted brother.
But Cami knows that she is not really Family. She is a mortal with a past that lies buried in trauma. And it’s not until a mysterious boy approaches her and reveals scars of his own that Cami begins to uncover the secrets of her past . . . to find out where she comes from and what danger she now finds herself in.
Nameless is out April 4th 2013 by Razorbill.

I'm always a fan of re-tellings so I can't wait for a dark one about Snow White. This sounds great and that cover is beyond beautiful!

Shadowlands by Kate Brian
Rory Miller had one chance to fight back and she took it. Rory survived… and the serial killer who attacked her escaped. Now that the infamous Steven Nell is on the loose, Rory must enter the witness protection with her father and sister, Darcy, leaving their friends and family without so much as a goodbye.

Starting over in a new town with only each other is unimaginable for Rory and Darcy. They were inseparable as children, but now they can barely stand each other. As the sisters settle in to Juniper Landing, a picturesque vacation island, it seems like their new home may be just the fresh start they need. They fall in with a group of beautiful, carefree teens and spend their days surfing, partying on the beach, and hiking into endless sunsets. But just as they’re starting to feel safe again, one of their new friends goes missing. Is it a coincidence? Or is the nightmare beginning all over again?
Shadowlands is out January 8th 2013 by Hyperion Books for Children.

How creepy but awesome does this look? I'm obsessed with this idea and can't wait to read this one...with the lights on, of course.

My Name is Rapunzel by KC Hilton
Fairy tales are for children. My name is Rapunzel and I will tell you my story. I will tell you the truth.
My Name is Rapunzel is out 2013.

Three sentences and I'm hooked! I can't wait to know more about this one.

What are you waiting for this week?

  7. My Name is Rapunzel looks awesome. I mean, that may just be because it's about Rapunzel, but I DON'T CARE. I adore fairy tales, although I think you may win on the battle of who loves them more. Haha.

    1. I'm a huge fairy tale fan. I can't help myself. I was born and raised on Disney and it's stayed with me though as I got older, I got more into the roots of the fairy tales which are much darker (as I'm sure you know). Glad you are looking forward to it too!

Thinking of writing something below? Well, that's why you are awesome! I always love feedback!

This blog is an award free zone. With the demand of a full time job, blogging time is becoming much more precious and I just don't have the time to meet the demands of awards. Thanks so much for thinking of me anyway!
