This blog is an award free zone. With the demand of a full time job, blogging time is becoming much more precious and I just don't have the time to meet the demands of awards. Thanks so much for thinking of me anyway!
I really like the 3 Fates. They're kind of creepy, but interesting. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh!!! I want to read UNDERWORLD so badly!!! Great giveaway :D
ReplyDeleteOops. And my fave Greek myth: Cupid and Psyche!!! <3
ReplyDeleteSo hard to choose! Maybe Cupid and Psyche or Pandora's Box!!
ReplyDelete♥Melissa
Oh man, so hard to choose! I think one of my most favorites has to be Orpheus and Eurydice. It's sweet, but so incredibly tragic, which is how I like my myths!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win...I LOVED Abandon!
I love the myth of Persephone best. I like that when she has to return to the Underworld, all the plants on earth seemingly mourn her loss of freedom, since she goes unwillingly each winter.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaway! I love YA with myth influences. My favorite Greek Myth would be a tie between Baucis & Philemon and Orpheus & Eurydice. I'm a sucker for the romantic ones.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Greek myth would have to be Pandora's box!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
I always had a fascination with The Fates. I always found that they brought such an eerie and cool element to Greek mythology.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Greek myth has to be Pandora's Box.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
My favorite Greek myth is the one of Persephone. It's most familiar to me and I love reading different versions of the story.
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna have to go with Pandora's Box. It seems like something I would do :)
ReplyDeleteMine is definitely Hades and Persephone...it's just so clever and fascinates the hell out of me.
ReplyDeleteMine is the story of Orion turning into a constellation because of Artemis! She's my favorite goddess! Otherwise I really like learning about the Sirens and the Gorgons!
ReplyDeleteI would say the fates. I always loved how everything is so absolute with them.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to go with the birth of Athena just because I love Athena so much :D
ReplyDeleteI don't know that many Greek myths, to be honest, and most of them I've learned through reading books like this. I'm tired of the Persephone & Hades myth though--that one gets told a LOT, and yeah, this book revolves around it too, but Meg Cabot is awesome so :D.
ReplyDeleteI love Psyche & Eros, and Zeus & Hera, and...I can go on and on! I love Greek everything lol
ReplyDeleteOh gracious. Such a hard question because I love ALL THINGS MYTH. I love Cupid and Psyche so much, but some others before me have said that so I'll also say my next favorite which is the Persephone and Hades myth. I'm not sure why these are my favorite...maybe because TO ME one is terribly romantic and the other is terribly exciting. (I know that may be not be popular opinion.) At any rate, thanks for the giveaway. AND these covers are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThey are all a little twisted but I like the story of Dionysus.
ReplyDeleteI love reading about The Trojan War because of the sneakiness of hiding in the horse and winning the war. Very cool!

My favorite goddess is Athena, so the myth of her birth is my favorite, though there are so many I love its hard to decide!
ReplyDeleteFavorite Greek myth would be the one about Jason and Medea. There is something very compelling about a woman getting revenge on her husband, even if she end up killing their children.
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite is Persephone and Hades - although he kidnapped her, she fell in love iwth hum and he let her go for half the year.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
Leanne
It's hard to pick, but one of my favorite Greek myths would have to be Orpheus and Eurydice.
ReplyDeleteI really like the story of Persephone. Forbidden love and all that.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... I've always liked Artemis's story a lot!
ReplyDelete(jen487(@)hotmail.com)
My favorite Greek myth are Hades and Persephone or Hercules
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh... I can't pick a favorite myth. Mythology has always fascinated me and I honestly love them all. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThe Medusa myth. Why? Because I feel bad for her and how she became that way. :D Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI always like Narcissus!
ReplyDeletePandora's Box. It's creepy but at the same time it's a creative way of telling how the misery of the world came about. :D
ReplyDeleteOh jeez...that's like asking what my favorite book is...hmm, probably the trojan war
ReplyDeleteI would say the story of Cupid and Pysche. This myth is such a beautiful love story and has a great ending to it. Even though Cupid could have easily made Pysche fall in love with him, he did it the old fashion way, not counting being hidden by shadows. And Pysche did all those crazy tasks to win back Cupid. Definitely a great love story.
ReplyDeleteI confess to a secret crush on Hercules. I especially like his adventures with the Argonauts. Talk about exciting stories!!
ReplyDeleteFavorite Greek Myth...I don't know that many but I do like Hades and Persphone.
ReplyDeleteI have always loved the myth of Persephone. It has just fascinated me, especially the mother & daughter aspect. :) Although I will admit I am a sucker for a lot of Greek myths, Cupid & Psyche, Daphne & Apollo...so many good ones!
ReplyDeleteI have always loved the myth of Persephone, especially the mother & daughter aspect. :) But I am a sucker for most any Greek myth, especially the romantic ones. I love Apollo & Daphne, Cupid & Psyche... <3
ReplyDeleteI've always been drawn to the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. It's so sad.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of my favorite but I do agree with Maidenveil. I have always love the Pandora's box story.
ReplyDeleteFavorite greek myth, eh? Well, let's see...I always loved Greek mythology, but I'm not sure if I have a favorite. Maybe Apollo and Daphne, or maybe that's just the first thing that popped into my head because Bernini made it into a flippin' gorgeous statue.
ReplyDeletePersephone and Hades. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the myth of Sisyphus. It's all about learning to accept your problems and struggles, not complaining about how bad things are. It's really relevant for people today too!
ReplyDeleteI've always loved the Fates. It is actually one of the few I always remembered.
ReplyDeleteIcarus where he flies up too close to the sun and his wings melt. It's a sad one but I like it because it has a good message. Thanks so much for the giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite times of the year are when the seasons are changing. I look forward to the beautiful scenery of spring and fall, and I eagerly await my favorite summertime and wintertime activities. So, of course my favorite greek myth would be the story of Persephone!
ReplyDelete- Jackie
I remember reading about Pandora's Box when I was a kid and being fascinated by it, so I'd have to say Pandora's Box.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Greek myth is about Medusa. I saw the original version of Clash of the Titans at a very young age and Medusa left me fascinated as a child.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Meg Cabot! Anything she writes always amuses me and I can relate at least in some way. Fun fun!
ReplyDeleteI love Meg Cabot! Everything she writes amuses me and I can related to it at least in some way. Fun fun!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Greek myth is the one about Medea just because she was so darn psychotic. Scary myth though, I must say.
ReplyDeletePersephone! I love that one and I just love to say her name :)
ReplyDeleteThe 3 fates for sure would be my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI love hades and Persephone
