I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore
From Goodreads:
In the beginning they were a group of nine. Nine aliens who left their home planet of Lorien when it fell under attack by the evil Mogadorian. Nine aliens who scattered on Earth. Nine aliens who look like ordinary teenagers living ordinary lives, but who have extraordinary, paranormal skills. Nine aliens who might be sitting next to you now.
The Nine had to separate and go into hiding. The Mogadorian caught Number One in Malaysia, Number Two in England, and Number Three in Kenya. All of them were killed. John Smith, of Paradise, Ohio, is Number Four. He knows that he is next.
I Am Number Four is the thrilling launch of a series about an exceptional group of teens as they struggle to outrun their past, discover their future—and live a normal life on Earth.
I AM NUMBER FOUR.
I AM NEXT.
I haven't gotten around to this book yet even though I bought it after seeing the movie and falling in love. I expected to read it right after but then I never did and never did and never did. I'm not wild about how this novel was created but I've heard it was good and I happen to have the sequel laying around so I'll be reading this next! I can't wait to decide for myself if I love it or hate it!

Have you read it? What do you think?

  2. I read the book and enjoyed it well enough. I don't think it was anything spectacular but it kept me interested. Hope you're more enthusiastic about it when you finish than I am :P

  3. This was one of those rare books that I thought was good but actually thought that the movie was better. I don't know why. Hope you enjoy it though!

  4. I don't really know much about the controversary surrounding the author, but I did read the book and it was enjoyable. I probably wouldn't rave about it, but I liked it enough to probably read the sequel when I get my hands on a copy.

Although strangely I didn't really get into the movie! I started watching it the other night and gave up only a little way in. I should have given it more time before I stopped *idiot* ;)

  6. I still haven't read this one either! I saw the movie first too, but the movie actually put me off reading it, because I didn't really enjoy it. I'll have to read it one day though!

Thinking of writing something below? Well, that's why you are awesome! I always love feedback!

This blog is an award free zone. With the demand of a full time job, blogging time is becoming much more precious and I just don't have the time to meet the demands of awards. Thanks so much for thinking of me anyway!
