All I Want For Christmas Is... (5)

This is a great new meme created by Danya over at A Tapestry of Words. Hop over to her blog on Thursdays and join in the fun!

Shadow Hills by Anastasia Hopcus

His love captivated her... his secrets might kill her.

Since her sister’s mysterious death, Persephone “Phe” Archer has been plagued by a series of disturbing dreams. Determined to find out what happened to her sister, Phe enrolls at Devenish Prep in Shadow Hills, Massachusetts—the subject of her sister’s final diary entry.

After stepping on campus, Phe immediately realizes that there’s something different about this place—an unexplained epidemic that decimated the town in the 1700s, an ancient and creepy cemetery, and gorgeous boy Zach—and somehow she’s connected to it all.

But the more questions she asks and the deeper she digs, the more entangled Phe becomes in the haunting past of Shadow Hills. Finding what links her to this town…might cost her her life.

Intrigue? Check! Romance? Check! Far off places, daring sword fights, a prince in disguise? Well, not exactly but it evokes the same sort of feeling as what Belle was trying to say. This book sounds exciting and even though I'm not wild about the cover, I love the summary and am really hoping to see this one underneath my tree.

So what about you? What are you hoping for?

  1. I couldn't get into this one myself, but I have seen a lot of buzz about it around the blogosphere - if it finds its way to under your tree I hope you enjoy it! :)

  2. I viewed this book on goodreads and, OMG, there are a lot of 5 STARS and 4 STARS! Plus, it really is intriguing. Hope you find this underneath your tree. :)

Thinking of writing something below? Well, that's why you are awesome! I always love feedback!

This blog is an award free zone. With the demand of a full time job, blogging time is becoming much more precious and I just don't have the time to meet the demands of awards. Thanks so much for thinking of me anyway!
