Cover Envy (27): Eternal Starling, Shatter Me and Second Chance Summer

It's that time of week again! I'm showing another couple of covers that make me green with envy and stuck sitting on my hands until the novels they cover come out.

Eternal Starling (Emblem of Eternity #1) by Angela Corbett-  I love the simpleness of this cover. The muted soft skin tone and pink of the dress and the tattoo. Even the position of the model is soft.

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi- This cover is slap me in the face gorgeous. I just got an ARC of this one in and it's all metallic. Just the ARC. I can't even wait to see what the final product looks like. I love the glitter burst in the background and the white dress. So gorgeous!

Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson- This one is beautiful in it's simplicity. The use of bursting sunset colors and the silhouette of a girl wrapping around herself really speaks to rebirth to me. It feel like something that should be read in the summer (maybe because of the title) but I love it. The water echoing the sky is a lovely touch.

Cover Envy (26): Everneath, Wings of the Wicked and Goddess Interrupted

It's that time of week again! I'm showing another couple of covers that make me green with envy and stuck sitting on my hands until the novels they cover come out.

Everneath by Brodi Ashton- Everything about this cover is drop dead gorgeous. The red fading into grey, the pale skin tone. I just wish the background color was a little more popping and her lips were as shocking red as her dress. These are minor things though. Her dress curling into smoke is gorgeous.

Wings of the Wicked (Angelfire #2) by Courtney Allison Moulton- I really like the contrast between this and the last one. Ellie looks just as fierce as the previous cover and I really like the relaxed pose. I also like that the model is slightly off center because it balances the moon on the book.

Goddess Interrupted (The Goddess Test #2) by Aimee Carter- I like that this one is really different than the first. In this one, the model looks like she was caught off guard and even though I generally hate the sting on forehead look, I think it really works for this cover. Plus, I really like that they carried the Greek pattern from the last novel to this one on the right hand side.

Cover Envy (25): Incarnate, Fateful and Airel

It's that time of week again! I'm showing another couple of covers that make me green with envy and stuck sitting on my hands until the novels they cover come out.


I hope you enjoy!

Incarnate by Jodi Meadows- This cover is blow-me-away gorgeous and I think it's one of my favorites ever. I can not stop looking at it. I love the hot pinks and cool blues, the gorgeous coloring of the butterfly, the light pink full lips. It's delicate and dainty and amazing! Best part?: The summary matches up with the cover. I am dying for 2012.

Incarnate comes out 2012 by Katherine Tegen Books. 

Fateful by Cludia Gray- This cover makes me cold just looking at it. Knowing what this book is about before seeing the cover, it really does evoke the sadness of the Titanic with the singular girl searching out in the water and the coldness of the event with the blues and big full moon. This is an incredible cover and I can't wait to hold it in my hands!

Airel by Aaron Patterson- This reminds me a little of the Fallen covers with the girl looking forlorn in the black dress but that's not a bad thing. I love the bluish/green/black background and that it's out of focus. The girl's solemn expression is beautiful and I love her hair. It gives her this wildness that I like and the feather in her hand furthers this look.

Cover Envy (24): Silence, Airbourne, Past Perfect

Silence (Hush, Hush #3) by Becca Fitzpatrick- This covers combines all of the stunning qualities of the last two and packages them together for the final novel. I love the black, grey, white and red in these and Nora's dress floating in the wind is just gorgeous. I can't wait!

Airbourne by Constance Sharper- I absolutely love the simpleness of this cover. The girl in her white dress, the wooded background and the open book. It just reads magical!

Past Perfect by Leila Sales- How adorable is this cover? I love that the model looks so happy with her tongue out and the bright green of her trendy raincoat. Plus the rain drawn on a chalkboard is great. I'm also in love with this hot pink and rich green color palate.

Cover Envy (23): The Sharp Time, Fury and There You'll Find Me

It's that time of week again! I'm showing another couple of covers that make me green with envy and stuck sitting on my hands until the novels they cover come out.

I hope you enjoy!

The Sharp Time by Mary O'Connell- I love the colors in this cover. The warm yellow glow of the girl's skin coupled with the green blue of outside and the red of her lips and nails. It reminds me of an old photograph. I'm instantly intrigued.

 Fury by Elizabeth Miles- Holy moly, this cover is gorgeous. The firey long hair cascading down the length of the cover, the mysterious look on the model's face, the pale white dress to match her skin and the accent of the green bow. I love how the mustard yellow font clashes with her red hair and the font itself is gorgeous.

There You'll Find Me by Jenny B. Jones- This cover has got adorable written all over it. I smile just looking at the two teens holding hands. I love the female model's outfit. The combo of clover green boots and floral farm dress just scream Ireland to me.

Damage by Anya Parrish- This cover is so deliciously creepy and works so well with the premise. I love how it looks like this is a reflection in a fogged up mirror.

Stay by Deb Caletti- There is something about the light colors and simplicity of this cover that is just so stunning. I also like the representation of the ripple effect. Amazing!

Vanish by Sophie Jordan- This is an amazing companion to Firelight. I like that this is the opposite of all those vibrants reds. This cover feels very angelic.

Cover Envy (21): Betrayal, The Mephisto Covenant, and Deadly Cool

It's that time of week again! I'm showing another couple of covers that make me green with envy and stuck sitting on my hands until the novels they cover come out.

Betrayal by Mayandree Michel- She's wearing Belle's dress! I've always been enchanted with gold since Disney's Beauty and the Beast so this is exactly the type of dress I love. The color palette is so striking and looks great with her striking lightening in her hands. I also really love the intricate up-swept 'do!

The Mephisto Covenant by Trinity Faegen- I've talked about this one recently but it seems like a waste not to put it up here. The way the model is holding out her dress--like wings and her long blonde hair swept back is just gorgeous. I love the colors in the background that look so similar to oil!

Deadly Cool by Gemma Halliday- I'm shocked a photo of a face can make me want a cover so much but man does it. Those bright blue eyes outlined in heavy black liner and those nude lips are amazing. Plus, I'm in love with the fact that "cool" is spelled with headphones!

Cover Envy (20): After Obsession, The Pledge and Still Waters

It's that time of week again! I'm showing another couple of covers that make me green with envy and stuck sitting on my hands until the novels they cover come out.

After Obsession by Carrie Jones & S.E. Wedel- I love that this cover mimics Ms. Jones' other series in colors and font. The same gold, white and black theme is on all the Need covers so I knew before even reading who this was by that it was one of her books. I love that her black dress is fading out or into creation and the model's relaxed pose is gorgeous. I also really like her hair.

The Pledge by Kimberly Derting- This cover is just gorgeous! I love that it's mostly black because it makes the model's pale skin and hair stand out beautiful. Even her lipstick is this wonderful pale pink. It's like she's trying very hard to blend in which goes perfectly with the synopsis. Then we've got the outline of the title on the book which also lends to this blending in feel. Amazing cover!

Still Waters by Emma Carlson Benne- I love covers with water on them and this one is no exception. The soft blue of her dress combined with the pale skin and hair is just amazing. I love that the font matches both her dress and the lily pads and the relaxed pose of the model. She could be sleeping... or something a little more sinister.

Cover Envy (19): Swear & Sweet Venom

It's that time of week again! I'm showing another couple of covers that make me green with envy and stuck sitting on my hands until the novels they cover come out.

I hope you enjoy!

Swear by Nina Malkin- Look at that gorgeous cover! I love the bright pink leaves/petals dropping down from the dark gate and falling onto the model. The model's pose is so interesting and a bit hopeless. Her hair twisted up into an elegant bun and swept off her shoulders really accentuates her pale skin. The cover oozes drama and sorrow. Absolutely breathtaking! 


Swear doesn't have a summary yet but it is the sequel to Swoon.


Swear is set to be released September 6, 2011 by Simon & Schuster.

Sweet Venom by Tera Lynn Childs- Simple, elegant and beautiful, Sweet Venom's cover is a masterpiece in it's simplistic beauty. The sweeping back of the black dress, the girl looking down at her shoulder and her gleaming hair tied into a shiny braid is just beautiful. The stark white of her skin next to the black dress and dark green/blue background works so well. I love the hint of something more with the ends of her hair curling out to mimic snakes. Amazing!

It's that time of week again! I'm showing another couple of covers that make me green with envy and stuck sitting on my hands until the novels they cover come out.

The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter- This cover instantly evokes the word lush. The plant life around the model is such a rich green color and really works to accentuate her white dress. I love the modern take on the Greek dress and her shoes fit perfectly. Even the design at the top right hand and bottom left hand corner speaks Greek. This cover is gorgeous!

Supernaturally by Kiersten White- What I love about this cover is it instantly brings to mind Paranormalcy so I know this is part of that series. I like that they used the same model and that soft look on her face is just wonderful. I am so in love with this wine colored theme and I want that dress now.
