This is a great new meme created by Danya over at A Tapestry of Words. Hop over to her blog on Thursdays and join in the fun! The object is to share what you are hoping to find wrapped up in a nice little bow under your tree this year!
Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan
“I’ve left some clues for you.
If you want them, turn the page.
If you don’t, put the book back on the shelf, please.”
So begins the latest whirlwind romance from the New York Times bestselling authors of Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist. Lily has left a red notebook full of challenges on a favorite bookstore shelf, waiting for just the right guy to come along and accept its dares. But is Dash that right guy? Or are Dash and Lily only destined to trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations across New York? Could their in-person selves possibly connect as well as their notebook versions? Or will they be a comic mismatch of disastrous proportions?
Rachel Cohn and David Levithan have written a love story that will have readers perusing bookstore shelves, looking and longing for a love (and a red notebook) of their own.
For the most part, I've heard really good things about this novel. I think the premise of a guy and a girl daring each other is really fun and I've read a teaser in Dash's POV that really stuck with me so that makes this novel even more appealing. It definitely helps that I'm a huge Nick & Norah fan.
What would you like for Christmas?

Thinking of writing something below? Well, that's why you are awesome! I always love feedback!
This blog is an award free zone. With the demand of a full time job, blogging time is becoming much more precious and I just don't have the time to meet the demands of awards. Thanks so much for thinking of me anyway!

Sounds like a cool story!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a fun read! It is new to me, so I'll have to go read some more about it. Hope you get your wish!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds fun, but I feel like I'd better read Nick and Norah first (just so I feel adequate as a book blogger).
ReplyDeleteMost of the reviews I've seen of this one have been positive - good choice for the holidays! I'd be interested to hear your opinion of it if you find it under your tree :) Also such a cute cover!
ReplyDeleteGood choice, I really want this one as well!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds cool, I want it! =)
