Carnival of Souls by Melissa Marr Book Trailer Sneak Peek

Melissa Marr
As if I wasn't already ridiculously excited for Carnival of Souls by Melissa Marr because of a killer summary and because I enjoyed what I'd read of her Wicked Lovely series, word drops that James Marsters (for all you who don't know, that's Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) is reading the audio book. I don't usually buy audio books (not because I have anything against them, I just prefer to read books) but this is one that will be in my hands the day it comes out.

Well, to add on the icing to this already amazing cake, I get an email with a few screen shots from the book trailer today from Harper Collins. For those of you that don't know, the book trailer was filmed in the Netherlands and had professional fight choreographers on scene. The sneak peek I'm about to show you will totally confirm just how epic this book trailer is going to be. You have got to keep your eyes peeled for it to premiere on August 14. Here are the two screen shots:

So the first one looks like the guy in black is giving directions or instructions to the girl. The second one is a little more straightforward.

Either way, I can't wait for the trailer to make it's way up onto the web. Remember to look for it August 14th.

And check out what Carnival of Souls is about:

In a city of daimons, rigid class lines separate the powerful from the power-hungry. And at the heart of The City is the Carnival of Souls, where both murder and pleasure are offered up for sale. Once in a generation, the carnival hosts a deadly competition that allows every daimon a chance to join the ruling elite. Without the competition, Aya and Kaleb would both face bleak futures--if for different reasons. For each of them, fighting to the death is the only way to try to live.
All Mallory knows of The City is that her father--and every other witch there--fled it for a life in exile in the human world. Instead of a typical teenage life full of friends and maybe even a little romance, Mallory scans quiet streets for threats, hides herself away, and trains to be lethal. She knows it's only a matter of time until a daimon finds her and her father, so she readies herself for the inevitable. While Mallory possesses little knowledge of The City, every inhabitant of The City knows of her. There are plans for Mallory, and soon she, too, will be drawn into the decadence and danger that is the Carnival of Souls.
From Melissa Marr, bestselling author of the Wicked Lovely series and "Graveminder," comes a brand-new tale of lush secrets, dark love, and the struggle to forge one's own destiny.
You can get your hands on a copy September 4, 2012 from Harper Collins.

Thinking of writing something below? Well, that's why you are awesome! I always love feedback!

This blog is an award free zone. With the demand of a full time job, blogging time is becoming much more precious and I just don't have the time to meet the demands of awards. Thanks so much for thinking of me anyway!
