Happily Ever Endings... was born out of sheer frustration. You know how when you read a series and you love it but the last book takes a little while to come out and then you sort of forget parts of the novel? That's what these posts are going to serve to remedy. Happily Ever Ending... is a short post about what happened at the ending of each book that is going to be in a series for people who need a quick reminder of what happened in the previous installment. I hope this saves someone else the frustration that I went through!

With Cassian's appearance and promise to return in five weeks for her, Jacinda is seriously considering checking out. She's especially sure when she is forced to go to a pep rally. That is, until Will whisks her away and they make out in a stairwell. She fights with herself about being near him because she can't control her manifest but when he shows up at her doorstep a few days later and offers to take her and Tamra to school, Jacinda finally decides to give in and try the whole boyfriend/girlfriend thing. They hold hands at school and Jacinda can see that it really upsets Brooklyn. Also, Jacinda's mom leaves town to sell one of their family jewel but not before revealing that the pride was going to rip Jacinda of her wings.

Later, Jacinda and Christina go to the bathroom and run into Brooklyn and her posse. A fight ensues and Jacinda starts to manifest. She burns Brooklyn to get away and runs into the stall of the bathroom, trying to stop the change. Then Will busts in and she can't control it. Fearing Jacinda is hurt, he climbs the stall and sees her as a draki. He looks upset and runs. Jacinda gets suspended for a week and during her imprisonment she bonds with Ms. Hennessey. Will comes over and is okay with her being a draki. They reveal everything to each other and Will admits to knowing she was different. 

Tamra says she likes a new guy but Jacinda doesn't push for details. Her and Will decide to go on a real date but while everyone is at school or work, Cassian visits her early and tries to get her to come with him. She refuses again and he vows to wait for her but she makes him promise not reveal himself. Later that night, Tamra leaves and Jacinda sneaks out to go out with Will. Xander finds them and invites them to a get together which they refuse until they see Tamra in the car.  Jacinda goes to get Tamra away but Tamra is too mad and won't listen. Will comforts Jacinda and they kiss which causes Cassian to expose himself.

Will and Cassian get into a fight (Will knowing all about Cassian now) and fall off the edge of a cliff. Jacinda is worried Will is dead and manifests to find him in front of Xander the hunter/ Jacinda finds Will hanging onto a ridge and bleeding the purple blood of her people. She gets him to safety and Will reveals that when he was dying of leukemia his father forced draki blood down his throat to cure him. Cassian sees and they almost get into a fight again but the hunters start after them. Will begs Jacinda not to leave but realizes it's not safe for her anymore so let's her go, promising he will find her again. Cassian takes Jacinda and Tamra and heads for their house saying Jacinda must come back with him and face a trial for her crimes. He promises to try to protect her. Jacinda is only certain of one thing, she has lost everything that night and put her family at risk while doing it.
