Happily Ever Endings... Paranormalcy by Kiersten White

Happily Ever Endings... was born out of sheer frustration. You know how when you read a series and you love it but the last book takes a little while to come out and then you sort of forget parts of the novel? That's what these posts are going to serve to remedy. Happily Ever Ending... is a short post about what happened at the ending of each book that is going to be in a series for people who need a quick reminder of what happened in the previous installment. I hope this saves someone else the frustration that I went through!

Paranormalcy by Kiersten White
Evie’s always thought of herself as a normal teenager, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours.
But Evie’s about to realize that she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.
So much for normal.
Click on "Read More" to find out the ending to Paranormalcy so you can be ready for the next installment:

Evie and Lend have broken out of IPCA after the person who has been killing paranormals was let in by Reth, the fairy who is very into Evie for reasons she doesn't know. Evie is staying with Lend and his father and is starting to get a taste of real life. As she starts to learn the truth about IPCA (mainly that they force werewolves to be "neutered" and other things..), she also learns that Lend's father used to work for them and is running an underground railroad for untagged paranormals.

After falling Lend to school a few times and meeting his mom (a water spirit that saved her from Reth's advances), everything is going well for Evie accept that she is having visits from the paranormal killer who calls herself Vivien and tells Evie they are sisters, both Empty Ones who were made by the fairies to collect the souls of paranormals. Evie doesn't believe it's real at first but after getting a message on her communicator she is convinced. When her and Lend began dating, and he starts showing her the real him, she tells him about her dreams and how she is afraid of what Vivien says. Lend assures her he will accept her no matter what she is.
At prom, Evie and Lend are having a great time until Reth comes and takes her away, wanting to finish filling her with a fiery light that only she can see which turns out to be a soul. Not believing that Reth is actually on the "good" fairies side, she calls her other fairy Fehl who takes her to Lend's house and right to Vivien. After a confrontation, Evie realizes that she can take the souls Vivian took into herself and spare Vivien a bit of her own. Then Evie, with some difficulty, releases them to the stars and falls to the ground.
She wakes up in the hospital later, says goodbye to Rachel who will now take care of a comatose Vivien and gets an unwelcome visit from Reth who says that he is disappointed in her but isn't done with her yet. Lend comes in with her favorite show and a plenty of encouaragement for a good future for him and Evie. Oh and it ends with a kiss.
Was that a good enough summary of all the important things that happened in Paranormalcy? I believe a lot of you will be needing this soon as Supernaturally will be coming out September of this year. Let me know if there is anything you think I should add in the comments below!

  1. Thanks for this!
I always forget what happened in the last book, and this helped remind me.

  2. Hey Amber :)
I love this idea, and thanks for sharing it.
I think maybe you should hide the actual spoilery stuff with the jump break feature for blogger though, that way someone who hasn't read it won't stumble on it and be spoiled. Just a suggestion though :)
I'll definitely be checking some of these out once I get my hands on any sequels for the books you post on this feature. :)
    Thanks again,
    Ambur :)

  3. This is a GREAT feature! I'm having that problem right now with CoFA...There are so many things to remember from the first three books, and I find myself going, "Wait, what exactly happened before?" Then I go to try and find someone who wrote a spoilery review...It's terrible. Love this idea! :)

Thinking of writing something below? Well, that's why you are awesome! I always love feedback!

This blog is an award free zone. With the demand of a full time job, blogging time is becoming much more precious and I just don't have the time to meet the demands of awards. Thanks so much for thinking of me anyway!
