Book Tunes (9)

Book Tunes is a new meme that will be held on Fridays and the point is to share the book your reading and a song you think represents it. Be sure to include the novel you are reading, the summary, the song you think fits it and an explanation of why you chose that particular song. So snag yourself a button, write a post and link up at the bottom of the page!

From Goodreads:
Clara’s relationship with Christian is intense from the start, and like nothing she’s ever experienced before. But what starts as devotion quickly becomes obsession, and it’s almost too late before Clara realizes how far gone Christian is—and what he’s willing to do to make her stay.
Now Clara has left the city—and Christian—behind. No one back home has any idea where she is, but she still struggles to shake off her fear. She knows Christian won’t let her go that easily, and that no matter how far she runs, it may not be far enough...

The Tune: Underwater Silence by Audiovent
The Lyrics:
You
Don't give up
You're my stalker
Leave me be

I know I should not pretend
That I like you
When you just suffocate me
A lack of O2 is killing me
And I'd kill you
If I could

You
Don't give up
You're my stalker
Leave me be
You
Number one
You're my stalker
Feed on me

And just when I think you're gone
There you are
To rape me
And try on my clothes
I fear for sometimes

Let me go

You
Don't give up
You're my stalker
Leave me be
You
Number one
You're my stalker
Feed on me

You want me
Inside you
Swallow me down
I'm static
You're clinging
You're my Klingon

You
Don't give up
You're my stalker
Feed on me
You
Don't give up
You're my stalker
Leave me be

You
Number one
You're my stalker
Feed on me
You

Why This Tune?:

This is a pretty obvious song but what I like about it is it expresses that the person singing doesn't actually mind it at the beginning which is a lot of what Stay was about. Clara was dealing with this big mountain of guilt because in the beginning she really kind of enjoyed his obsession. It made her feel powerful. I think in a lot of ways, this song really fits for her ordeal and what she is going though in the novel.

Thinking of writing something below? Well, that's why you are awesome! I always love feedback!

This blog is an award free zone. With the demand of a full time job, blogging time is becoming much more precious and I just don't have the time to meet the demands of awards. Thanks so much for thinking of me anyway!
