Book Chat: Scary Reads

Misty over at The Book Rat has another fun Halloween topic for Book chat and I decided to vlog and join in. This week's topic is to share some of your favorite scary reads.

As I explain in the vlog, I'm not big on horror because I'm a chicken but I do have a list compiled of the scariest/best Halloween stuff I've read. Here's  my list:

Here are the books I mention in the vlog:

  • Bad Girls Don't Die by Katie Alender
  • From Bad To Cursed by Katie Alender
  • The Devouring by Simon Holt
  • Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
  • Anna Dressed In Blood by Kendare Blake
  • The Replacements by Brenna Yovanoff
  • Deadly Cool by Gemma Halliday
Horror Scenes:
  • The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
  • Fateful by Claudia Gray
What are your favorite scary reads?

  1. And you have a black cat behind you! Could it be any more perfect for the theme? ;P

The Replacement is an excellent choice. I almost picked it myself (I mean, THE CUTTER) but I didn't because I was left with an sense of love at the end, and that's what remained with me, rather than scariness.

You had to read The Devouring with the light on? Oh man, that makes me want to read it more.

Miss Peregrine's is the next on my to-read pile. And I have flipped through, and yes, those are some creepy ass pictures.

    Great picks!

Thinking of writing something below? Well, that's why you are awesome! I always love feedback!

This blog is an award free zone. With the demand of a full time job, blogging time is becoming much more precious and I just don't have the time to meet the demands of awards. Thanks so much for thinking of me anyway!
